Peer Gynt is a charming but lazy and arrogant peasant youth who leaves home to seek his fortune. Confident of success, he has one disastrous adventure after another. In one, he attends the wedding of a wealthy young woman he himself might have married. There he meets Solveig, who falls in love with him. He impulsively abducts the bride from her wedding celebration and subsequently abandons her. He then embarks on a series of fantastic voyages around the world, finding wealth and fame but never happiness. This production is a new and modern take on Peer Gynt as a psychological drama.

70 years after Det Norske Teatret first staged Peer Gynt, Erik Ulfsby and his excellent team have developed a new version, with the role of old Peer congenially filled by Toralv Maurstad. The play’s original chronology has been broken up and fragments of Peer’s life reordered – all observed by an aged spirit who is on the threshold to the other side. Maurstad’s acting is “overwhelmingly great. He carries the role of Peer Gynt on his 92-year-old shoulders. This is pure theatrical magic.”

When Joong-pil, the biggest bully in his high-school by far finds himself harboring feelings for a classmate, his entire identity is thrown off balance. Suddenly his smoking, his drinking, his constant swearing and his habit of pushing underclassmen into walls don't seem like good habits anymore. Without his nastiness, who is he? He might just like this girl enough to find out, if he can figure out how.

During the Nazi occupation of France as two filmmakers attempt to navigate their careers without compromising their ideals. Facing pressure from the Vichy government, assistant director Jean Devaivre uses his position at the German-controlled studio Continental Films as a cover for his resistance activities, while screenwriter Jean Aurenche uses his wits to keep from being involved in the creation of any collaborationist propaganda.

A feature length film revolving around Martin Creed's childhood memories. A little boy growing up, seen through the eyes and hair of a young woman. A coming-of-age story told in episodes from conception through the very earliest moments of infanthood to high school, art education and first love. An interwoven story of clothes moves up the body from socks and shoes to trousers and hats. Along the way some various helpful guides to side of life are offered in the form of chapters on "The Trouser Problem" and "What Are Moustaches For?". Based on a true story, memories were filmed in the places where they happened, including Lenzie Academy, Glasgow, where current-day students of the school perform in scenes from their of bullying, misbehaviour and sports. Other, dreamlike acts were filmed in an odd admixture of locations including Las Vegas, USA, and Ascoli Piceno, Italy. John McEnroe features in one fantastical scene on a Malibu tennis court.
